“Baštalište” is the first garden community in Serbia which advocates and promotes urban gardening as a tool for environmental / economic / social / health development of local communities and sustainable cities.

“Baštalište” was established in 2013. as an organic garden community just 10km from the center of Belgrade. It is situated at the entrance of Slance village. The size of the garden is 20 acres of total, or 22 individual plots of 40 square meters that are available to our members during the season. We cultivate exclusively organic vegetables, applying the principles of organic agriculture and permaculture. The vegetables we produce are for our own needs and as a gift to friends. In our garden, we share a spirit of solidarity, teamwork, respect and tolerance.
