Work on the movie “Spring Cleaning” began as a reflection on how to define a situation in which, both in political and personal sense, there is sometimes need for detailed cleaning of the house, so called spring cleaning. It is a metaphor for the necessity of introducing fresh air, removing dust, cleaning window sills to bring the light in, recollecting memories to deserted spaces, abandoned lifestyles, and long-read and unread books.
